Q: Do I need any experience to start?
A: No experience required, all levels welcome
Q: Should I contact you before I come in?
A: Yes. Please contact us prior to coming in to ensure we are accepting new students, as limitations in our capacity may occur.
Q: Can I come watch a class?
A: You are more than welcome to come sit in on a class free of charge to see if it is right for you.
Q: How much is it to drop in?
A: Drop in fee is $15 per class for MBJJA exclusive members and $25 per class for visitors, must be paid before class no cash. We also have a monthly unlimited package for $125 per month. Please see Drop-in policy for more details.
Q: What day should I come in for my first class?
A: Wednesday afternoon class is the best class to start. Tuesday and Friday fundamentals are also good if you have no or limited experience.
Q: Do I need a Gi?
A: A Gi is required. We do not sell Gi's at this time, but have a handful available to rent for $10 per class.*
(*Limited sizing available, Gi and belt are returned for cleaning in house, immediately after class is finished)
Q: What do I need to bring to my first class?

Q: Is anyone welcome to come train?
A: Anyone 18yo and older* that meets the requirements on our new members page is welcome to come train.
(*Age exceptions may apply on an individual basis, for students 16 and older. Waiver must be filled out by legal guardian before joining class)
Q: Do you teach MMA or striking?
A: While some of our students have went on to fight in MMA we do not teach any formal striking or MMA classes whatsoever.
Q: Do you teach Kids classes?
A: We do not currently offer kids classes at this time
Q: What can I expect my first class?

Q: Do you teach private lessons?
A: Please contact us for more information regarding privates. (Group discounts available)
Q: Do you teach NoGi?
A: We do, NoGi Days are Tuesday Fundamentals and Thursday Nogi.
Q: Should I get in shape before I come train?
A: While being the best version of yourself is always encouraged, as long as you don't have underlying medical conditions that would prevent you from grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a great way to get in shape.

Q: I have trained before and am above a white belt, can I join the team?
A: Belts higher than white belt are subject to approval and fall under our Upper Belt Transfer Policy. Please see policy for more details.
